Describe how the people are dressed. These are Japanese nobles. What are the doing? What does the image tell you about their lifestyles? They are dressed in silk elegant robes some seem to be out in a garden other seem to be walking. It tells me they seem to live elegant lives even when out in a garden.
In one or two sentences – what was court life like during the Heian period? Would you like to have been to court noble? Why or why not? They had to maintain an elegant image with elegant clothing and proper make up. They also had to practice manners. I would party like to be one because it seems in a way glamorous but would not due to restrictions.
In two or three sentences – what were the tactics of the nobles to gain power? The nobles earned trust and gained control, they also married the daughters to crown princes. They got most government high ranking posts.
In two or three sentence how ere the provincial nobles able to gain power over court noble? They led private armies and were independent. When the court nobles isolated themselves they became more powerful. They also constantly battling with one another over control.
What do you see? what visual clues can you use to determine that both of these armies are not Japanese? Where might the ships be from? Who seems to be winning the battle? What advantages does Japanese army have? can see what seems to be warriors in a battle or war shooting arrows at each other. Because of how they shoot. Some are on horses others are not. I don’t have an idea of were they might be from.
In one two sentences, how did Mongol invasions of Japan fail? The Japanese used ship with troops but weather caused them to be destroyed. In result led them to NOT fight.
In one or two sentences desribe the aftermath of the Mongol invasions? After the Mongol invasion the Japanese felt their couture was superior. The unpaid samurai’s would terrorize peasants to get money since they were unpaid.
In one or two sentences how did rise of fuedalism change the dynamic power in Japan? Due to the rise of fuedalism the samurai warriors rised in Japanese society, they eventually took control of japans government. They even created a military government which reluted in the emperor acting as only a religious leader in Japan.
What kinds of weapons were being used? What kind of clues support the fact that this is a battle between two Japanese armies and not a forgein attack army? The weapons being used look to be like bow and arrows. The fact that their attacks and weapons look identical say that they both are japanese.
In one or two sentences- What were some results of the Onin war? Some result in the onin war were most of Kyoto were left destroyed and the power of leader were greatly reduced. It ended the rule of Ashikaga Shogunate.
What were to tactics used to unify Japan? They used brilliant military techniques to defeat enemies and used negegotiations to pacify rebellious daimyo
